(Restaurant Reviews by HRC -that would be my initials there)
this is the first posting in my new prestigious restaurant review series. I’ll will diligently devote myself to eating good food then tell you about it using unnecessary big words occasionally that may or may not actually be the correct usage.

(I was kidding about the big words. Maybe next time, I’m tired and feeling uncreative right now.)
Today I ate lunch at World Garden in Bentonville and loved it! Not only was my made-from-scratch roasted garlic and tomato soup delicious, the homemade dressing selection wonderful- of which I choose sesame ginger I believe- but I felt good about it. What is she talking about? you wonder. Well, I’ll tell you! Not only did I feel good in the sense that I ate a huge, veggie packed salad (which I chose from a large, daily rotating selection) and DELISH soup that made me feel good and healthy, but also in the sense I felt like I was contributing to a good cause. The World Garden was founded by an amazing family that lives here in NWA and goes to church with us at New Heights. Besides a large, gourmet salad bar featuring several soups on a daily basis, they roast their own coffee there for an amazing cup and have homemade desserts and ice cream! Quite the little treat! Not only is the family pretty darn cool and have several adopted children, they do the following with the proceeds:
-1/7 of the garden (salad) revenue goes directly to 3 orphanages around the world. (Tibet, Brazil and Romania and in the process of selecting 2 more) Teams already serving there make sure that the revenue goes directly to feed the kids.
-1/4 of the coffee revenue directly supports the coffee farmers in Honduras where they visit yearly. They make sure that the farmers are getting the payment and not the thieves that very often steal coffee and then sell it for themselves after doing none of the work.
-another portion of the dessert sales goes directly into the NWA abuse/neglect shelters. So you’re also helping locally.
I don’t know about you, but this is a place where not only can I EAT, which I love to do, but I can also help make a difference in the lives of countless other people thanks to the generous, world-minded people that own it. Go on, try it. Recommend it to family or a friend. It’s amazing food with a cause!
