We just got back from spending a week in Branson with the family. All 14 of us…it was nice. This family photo was taken on our last morning after we got all four of the vehicles loaded down and ready to head home. I should also mention that this photo was taken by my brother’s SMART phone after we set it up on this crazy looking mini tripod and then shouted the word “CAPTURE” at it! It was pretty funny all of us hollering “Capture” at any given moment…
The Clark Clan in Branson, MO, July 2013
Heidi and I fully intended to do a vlog while we were there, talking about the pros and cons of vacationing for a week with your extended family. We may still do that, because let me tell you…we had PLENTY of material!
Now back to reality…
Okay, so my reality isn’t that much different. Minus Ben and his family, we all live on the same hill, so we eat together and play Jokers (a great board/card game) on a very regular basis. The kids even have a volleyball net up in the yard as well as a basketball goal. The only thing missing is a swimming pool and cable tv. However, we have a trampoline and a garden full of green beans, so that evens it out, right?
I am seriously waiting for the moment, that will be happening this morning I am sure, when my kids will inevitably say “Mom, I’m bored!” I have an entire list of chores for them when that happens!
For now I am going to share a few photos of how much fun we had on our trip!
First things first. . . COFFEE!
Headed for some pool time and a walk!
Branson Landing for fireworks!
Incidentally we stayed here for almost 3 hours and then decided to leave. As we got into the cars, the fireworks finally started.
A little Rock N Roll fun…
Some Go-Cart Racing. . .for the big kids, AND the little ones!
Then finally . . .The 100 foot drop ‘Sky Coaster’ for the truly brave ones!
We had a great time! Also, breakfast is over here now and I have yet to hear “I’m bored”…today might end up not being too bad after all! (Although I DO have that list of chores that need to get done today.) Have an awesome Monday!
