Surgery-ful Stressful Summer

Well, it’s official! We have scheduled Summit’s eye surgery for the last week in June. I keep hoping for a miracle, but I think I’ve lost some faith steam. Now maybe I’ll focus on praying for no complications. I also have faced one of my greatest fears for myself: jaw surgery. I’ve scheduled phase 1 in August when we get back from vacation. My jaw has been getting worse and I’m constantly having spasms in the joints. That gives me a few more months to wean Summit though. On another note: Ben is in agony b/c of his back. It keeps getting WORSE. He had me look at his back yesterday, to see if I saw anything wrong with it and he looks like a stretched out “S” or something. His hips are uneven so his back is compensating the other way, then his neck goes back another way! We had decided to wait for our new insurance to take effect June 1st before we did anything, but he thinks he can’t wait. Anything is better than the drugged up Ben that I’ve become used to. Does anyone know a good chiropractor??
OK, my whiny e-mail is over now! Now you know what is going on medically in our family. If you’re a praying person, please keep us in your prayers.

    Gosh Heidi–that’s crazy. The Davidson’s (Butch and Nancy) say they have the best chiropractor. I’m not sure his name, but if you want I’ll get it for you. I hope you all get to feeling better, and I’ll be praying for Summitt’s surgery.

    I’ll be praying for you guys throughout, I know that God has something new to teach you. As he always does. “lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths”…This is becoming my “mantra” :)
    Just think though, maybe you can lose all that baby weight after the jaw surgery and become a waif(sp?) like before :) hehe, always trying to look on the bright side!!
