So, I watched the Sex and the City movie and- let me just say- I didn’t realize how much sex is in the ummm, thus titled movie, and felt rather trashy afterwords- but I decided to check out one thing I learned in the movie. Her assistant got her designer handbags from a website and in my shallowness and desire to have things nicer than my water budget allows, I decided to go to bag, borrow or steal’s website. So… I guess I know where to go now if I need a designer bag for the next movie premiere in Hollywood I’m invited to and only need it for a week. THESE PRICES ARE HIGH PEOPLE! How much was Carrie’s assistant making?! I guess you could get a “cheap” bag on there for what cable costs every month, but if you just saved for a few months you could own a really, really nice purse! check out this purse for over $3,000/ month! no that is NOT a typo!
insane purse

“Fire” is running for mayor Ben just told me. For those of you who grew up in Fayetteville you will recognize him as one of the urban legends like Chester who drove the Hurse to school. I hadn’t heard of “Fire” for a couple of years now, we used to watch him bus tables at Village Inn at 3 am and laugh- no not in a mean way- the guys is possessed, you’d think he was too if you saw the way he’d clear a table. He’d flat do it in 10-15 seconds. Filthy dirty with tons of plates and cups half full? Perhaps 20 seconds. He’d do it so seriously too. and silently. So “Fire” was an amazing bus boy and we heard rumors of him either winning or doing really well in some national bus boy competition in Las Vegas, then nothing for years.
Now he’s running for mayor in Fayetteville? I guess he’s been seen campaigning on Dickson last week, he doesn’t have the money for signs, but he’s on the ballot. I don’t even know what his real name is.

This morning got off to a good start. I called Summit’s therapists to cancel because he was so snotty last night and seemed to not be feeling good. He was grumbling in his crib until almost a quarter after 11. I fell back to sleep and was re-awoken by his gurgling about 9:15, which is so pleasant compared to his normal wails. We had oatmeal with raisins and apples for breakfast and I put a roast on for dinner. I put on my smartwools for the first time and as the cozy sock slipped over my foot I smiled. Last night was our first freeze so I brought my plants in. Ben wanted me to let them go, like let them freeze to death, but they are my friends so I couldn’t let them go, not matter how scrappy and puny they are due to my neglect. Ben and I had cleaned the house last night so every room I walked into was clean and refreshing and joyfully in need of nothing. The air is crisp and cold and I’m happy to be inside in my warm home. I feel like making cinnamon rolls from scratch. It’s going to be one of those days.
