IF you happen to have noticed I haven’t blogged since Friday it’s because my laptop has a nasty virus. I know, I know, I have other computers that I could use but my lap top is like my comfort food, it’s warm and cozy and using any other machine just doesn’t feel right… Being that I’m trying to be consistent and all I decided to go ahead and post. Even if it feels weird and I don’t have my cute little pictures that are all locked up on my other computer… sigh. So, enjoy, and send up a little prayer for my dear laptop…
Saturday Morning:
We got up, cheerily, ate a great breakfast and happily piled into the car. The weather was perfect and we quickly found some garage sales. We found several great deals and loaded up the car. The kids were happy and content and then we went by Lowe’s to get motivated for our next big home project. The time passed quickly. Knowing ahead of time that there was a craft project in the back section to build a little police car with lights that blinked, we headed that direction. Ben and Bear worked together on the project like a Norman Rockwall painting. Bug was very content and watched, eagerly awaiting the day that he was able to participate. Bear used the hammer very well, only hitting the nails needing to be hit. We laughed, smiled and it was a grand time. What a perfect day!
I threw myself out of bed as late as I could without totally ticking off Ben. The only reason I actually got out of bed was the Ben informed me he was taking Bear to go garage sale-ing and I didn’t want to get stuck at home with Bug for the morning. I figured it would be better to be in the car with him in a car seat than him him screeching around the house and me not getting anything done. Also, I may find something at a garage sale! One of our neighbors was having a garage sale. We found a old table and chairs that will work great outside for the boys. It started to pour down rain. We went to Lowe’s where Ben said he wanted to “run in and look at something” so I jumped out without the diaper bag or my cell phone. We were there almost 1 1/2 hours. Bug pooped in his diaper near the beginning of the trip. We looked at the books in the front of the store, then looked at lighting, then looked at flooring, then Bear had to go to the bathroom, then we looked at trim. While chasing Bug across the store, we found an area that was set aside for a little project building a police car. Even though most people had already started, there was a few of the pre-bagged projects left so Ben and Bear got one and started building it. Bear had the hammer and was swinging all around while Ben built the car on his own. Bug chirped and ran up and down aisles, trying to grab things off the shelves and pushing every cart that was near by. Why wasn’t he strapped in a cart, you ask? OH, because he didn’t stop writhing and screeching and I got tired of the “you are abusing your child” looks. I finally demanded to leave. I was exhausted and stressed and we bickered the whole way home.
Take your pick of what really happened.
