so recently I’ve been participating in focus groups, I’ve done a few before, but I guess the demand is up because I’ve been qualifying for more of these than I have in the past. I also do taste testing for the University occasionally, lately though all the available times have been not good for me, but they usually pay $20 for literally 10 minutes of my time! Anyways, the focus groups are cool, I have had to say no to a couple of them recently which bothers me b/c I’m saying no to $25-40/ hr which really helps out the poor, strained budget!
The one I did recently was for jelly and jam. I left slightly nervous from a sugar high and probably said some stupid stuff b/c sugar affects me like a margarita does sometimes. I wasn’t a huge fan of the jelly, other than the key lime one which was just cool tasting in a very weird way. The guy said the stuff we said affected the release of the product and packaging for the whole United States so I felt responsible in a weird “I’m contributing” kind of way. I also managed to score a bunch of all natural cleaning products to test out too! So far I love them. I had actually done another focus group on these products and was interested in purchasing them so when I asked about them when the group was over, they allowed me to take some!! I love new cleaning products, this is a stupid weakness in impulse buying that I have so this was like winning the lottery and it made me more happy than the check did! Because I’m not sure what kind of privacy issues there may be (not that anyone said anything to me regarding this but I want to be careful) I’m not going to say the products name, but it ROCKS! In clinical testing I was told that it outperformed Clorox Naturals products. Let me just say though that the multi- surface spray smells like LAVENDAR!!! mmmmmmm! Gotta go, I want to go clean now!
