ahhhhh my legs…
I went walking today, I thought I’d be a great idea being that it was beautiful out and Summit was in KDO all day. I’ve been in my cave of a home for the last few weeks recovering from my surgery and needed an athletic stimulus. I went with my good friend Esther, in town for the week, and her mom and both of them are in shape and I’m not and enough said. I walked much further and faster than I would have if I was by myself, but that can be good, my legs are wobbly from their 2 1/2 hour excursion though.
Fall is so beautiful! I enjoyed my time walking on the Mud Creek trail as it wound around a creek. The water seemed so clear, the wind so brisk, the leaves so bright! I want to make myself a beautiful bouquet of branches with their autumn colored leaves like cheery flags in the breeze. This is my favorite time of year, my senses seem to re-awaken from a foggy and warm summer. I want to skip rocks, visit cemeteries, read all their inscriptions and play hopscotch in my driveway. I feel like I can breathe in deep again. If I could bottle the essence of fall, it’d be a drug and I’d be a millionaire.
