Ben and I are very different.
(Anyone who knows us in real life just laughed out loud at that true comment.)
They say opposites attract.
We joke opposites attack.
He can eat terrible and stays slim and fit with good muscle tone.
I work out, do push ups and SMELL fries and gain 5 lbs.
I love cooking with veggies, vegan broths for flavor, brown rices and pasture raised meats that are uncured…
Ben cooks with butter and grease, with the cheapest breakfast sausages and bacon…
He balances me.
I would’t be who I was suppose to be without him.
…and I kinda like bacon and sausage too…
So, to celebrate delicious Great Day Farms Eggs that we eat all the time and opposites, here are some classic examples of egg centered meals around here- Me verses Ben. Enjoy… I know that I do.
1. Ben brunch
2 Fried Eggs & waffles made from scratch on his mom’s old waffle iron from the 70’s.
2. Heidi lunch
2 hard boiled eggs, lightly salted and peppered with fresh cilantro.
3. Ben Breakfast
3 (4?) Fried Over Easy Eggs, slightly burnt sausage.
4. Heidi Brunch
2 Gluten Free Waffles, fresh sliced local farmer’s market peaches and 1 over easy egg.
5. Ben “Brinner” (Breakfast for Dinner)
1 butter soaked fried egg, 2 sausages and a slice of German Chocolate Cake.
6. Heidi “Brinner” (Breakfast for Dinner)
1 white corn tortilla, 1 slice cheddar cheese, 1 fried egg, sliced avocado, fresh cilantro, a squeeze of lime and strawberries.
Bonus: Ben anytime meal of choice
