He is doing great, praise God! He came out of surgery and slept in our arms for an hour, then we woke him up and he was cranky, understandably. He sounded hoarse, probably from the breathing tube, but didn’t seem like he was in a lot of pain. He drank a little bit of water and they let us go home! Yay! They had spoke about keeping him overnight, which we were not happy about, but willing to do for safety reasons of course.
Over all, his eyes look great already, perfectly straight which kind of looks funny to us! The staff was amazing and even at 5 am I was impressed. Summit was cheerful and happy for the 2 hours before his surgery, charming all the nurses there. I couldn’t believe how happy he was without food or water! Even the nurses said most babies at the hour without food were screaming. The doctor prayed for Summit before the surgery and the anesthesiologist was great too. We feel extremely well taken care of and happy. Thanks for all your prayers, they were answered. We felt calm and confident the whole time which was a HUGE answer to prayer for me in particular. Thanks!
